Eula Francis Cheney Ackerman died peacefully on April 14, 2016 at 100 years
old at the Shar-Mar Nursing Facility in Pueblo, Colorado
Eula Francis Cheney was born in Rush County on October 11, 1915 in La Crosse,
Kansas to Frank and Mary Cheney.
After graduating high school in La Crosse, Kansas, she married Clinton R (Bill) Ackerman. They resided and farmed in the Zook community for 34 years. She worked at Duckwalls, later known
as Alco department store for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brother and sisters. After Bill's death, she moved to the Rebecca Lodge Senior Independent Facility in Canon city, Colorado.
She was a devout Christian and was a member of the Zook Methodist Church and later
member of the United Methodist Church in Larned, Kansas. Her devotion to her Christian
faith carried her through her amazing life.
She is survived by her three sons: Ronald C. Ackerman (Longmont, Colorado), Philip A
Ackerman (West Pueblo, Colorado) and Stephen J Ackerman (Tucson, Arizona). She has
5 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a
younger sister Edith Schuerman (Hiawatha, Kansas).
Inurrnment will be at the Point View Cemetery in Pawnee County, July 18 2016 at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers send donations to the United Methodist Church in Larned Kansas or church or religion organization of your choice.
She will be missed dearly by all those she touched in her 100 years of her life.
