Obituary

Dodge City – Eula Fern Lang, 92, died April 28, 2011 at Western Plains Regional Medical Center, Dodge City.

She was born May 1, 1918, the daughter of Ezra M. and Lena E. Anderson Deyoe, she was a teacher in Jetmore schools and later enjoyed volunteer work at Northwest Elementary School in Dodge City. She was a longtime resident of Hodgeman County later moving to Dodge City.

She attended Jetmore schools and graduated from Fort Hays State College and St. Mary of the Plains College with a degrees in Education. She joined the Women's Army Auxiliary Corp. in 1942. 2nd Army Headquarters, Memphis, TN. belong to the First Presbyterian Church, Seniors Friends, and Dodge City. Retired Teachers, Delta Kappa Gamma, The International Graphoanalyst Society. She enjoyed working with the Newcomer students from Central Elementary School who regularly visited the Manor of the Plains.

In 1943 she married Taylor S. Lowry, and later she married Harry Lang on August 9, 1952 in Jetmore, He died March 6, 2000.

Survivors include: one son Joe Lang and wife Teresa, Wichita; four daughters, Judy Semenuk, Mount Airy, Maryland; Anita Lang, Warsaw, Missouri; Laura Burnside and husband Phil, Sarasota Florida; Connie Jobe and husband Tom, Dodge City; Five Grandchildren: Julie Semenuk, Susan Severin and husband Brian, John Jobe, Jennifer Burnside, Elizabeth Lang, numerous nieces, nephews and adopted family.

She was preceded in death by, husband Harry, one son, Roger Dennis Lang two brothers, Carroll F. Deyoe and Ezra Jr. Deyoe, one sister Lola Shelton.

Graveside Services will be at 10:00A.M. Monday in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore. A memorial service will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church, Dodge City, with the Rev. Regina Maas presiding. Friends may call from 9:00 A. M. to 8:00P.M. Saturday and Sunday with the Family present from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Sunday at the Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore.
