Obituary

Larned -Eunice M. Bruntzel, (Missy) completed her temporary earthly assignment and went to her eternal home at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, Larned, Kansas, September 17, 2006.

Born October 16, 1912 in Morrilton, Arkansas she was the daughter of A.D. (Jack) and Addie Etta (Williams) Gordon. She moved to Kansas with her parents as a small child, living first in Northern Kansas and later moving with her family to Rozel, Kansas. She was a graduate of Larned High School. Eunice was a loving mother and a homemaker who took great pride in maintaining a spotless home. She also worked in the accounting department of the Larned State Hospital until her retirement. After retiring she developed several hobbies including oil painting, cross-stitching, gardening and an avid fan of professional sports. She was an active member of the Grace Lutheran Church of Larned. Other memberships included the Larned VFW, and a former member of the BPW.

She married Elmer E. Seeman in 1931. On October 3, 1954 she married August E. Bruntzel. He died January 20, 1971.

Survivors include: a daughter, Janice Froetschner and husband Roland; a daughter-in-law, Jane Seeman, Vienna, Virginia; grandsons, Tom Seeman, Leesburg, Virginia and Bill Seeman and wife Kathleen of Fairfax, Station, Virginia; a grand daughter Linda Colbert and husband Mike, Vienna, Virginia; and five great grandchildren, Jaclyn Seeman, Mitchell Seeman, Matthew Seeman, Hannah Colbert, and Heather Colbert; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; spouses; a son Rodger Seeman; a grandson, Matthew Froetschner, brothers, Dale and Burvle Gordon; sisters, Ruby Gordon and Verlon Martin.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with the Pastor Ken Walker presiding. Friends may call from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday and Tuesday at the chapel. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
