Evan E. Jacobs' Obituary
Jetmore – Evan Essex Jacobs, 57, passed away February 1, 2018 at Hays Medical Center, Hays.
He was born October 30, 1960 in Dodge City, the son of Melvin R. and Marjorie A. Essex Jacobs. A lifetime area resident, he was a truck driver.
He was of the Catholic Faith, enjoyed fishing, was a Denver Bronco fan and loved his boys, nieces, nephews and grandkids.
He married Dena Walters. They later divorced.
Survivors include: three brothers, Rob (Diane) Jacobs, Kinsley, Nathan (Cindy) Jacobs and Philbert Jacobs, both of Dodge City; two sisters, Vanessa (Mike) Bamberger and Amy (Lloyd) Rudzik, both of Jetmore; two step sons, Joshua Jordan, Goodland and Mathew Jordan, Jetmore; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Thursday at 2:00 pm at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Jetmore with Father Don Bedore presiding. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 9 am to 8 pm at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be at the Fairmount Cemetery following the service.
Memorials may be sent to Horse Thief Reservoir Youth Fishing Program in care of Beckwith Funeral Home, Box 663 Jetmore, KS 67854.
