Everett W. Spreier's Obituary
ROZEL - Everett W. Spreier, 99, passed away February 22, 2015 at the Medicalodge of Kinsley, Kinsley, Kansas.
He was born February 24, 1915 in Rozel, KS; the son of Fred J. and Belva L. Ricks Spreier. A lifetime area resident; he was a farmer.
He was a member of the Rozel Baptist Church, a 32nd Degree Mason, enjoyed baseball, fishing, traveling around the world, and woodworking.
He first married Dorothy L. Ellis at Rozel in 1945. She died in 1972. He then married Lucille Young Franz at Norton, KS January 3, 1979. She died December 27, 2009.
Survivors include; two sons, Everett DaVern Spreier (Pam), Rush Center, and Steven Kent Spreier (Pam), Oakland, FL and; two daughters, Barbara Arlene Webber (Doug), Apopka, FL, Pamela Marie Barker (Chris), Lawrence, KS, a sister, Marjorie Fuller, Garden City, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by; a daughter, Fontella Kay Ellsworth, a brother, LaVern Spreier, and a sister, Ruby Mae Salmans.
Funeral service will be 2:00pm Friday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Chris Barker presiding. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Rozel Fire Department in care of the Beckwith Mortuary, P.O. Box 477, Larned, KS 67550.
