Dodge City - Fannie I. Smith, 87 died August 24, 2013 at the Galichia Heart Hospital, Wichita.
She was born January 16, 1926 in Lawton, Oklahoma, the daughter of Glenn B and Ida S. Tuggle Wade. She was a past resident of Larned; moving to Dodge City in 1997, and a current resident of Sedgwick since 2013. She was a Registered Nurse for the Larned State Hospital.
She was a member of the Church of Christ and was a Godly woman.
On April 4, 1954 she married Chester D. Smith in Larned, Kansas. He survives.
Other survivors include; a son, Glenn and wife Katie, Valley Center; a sister, Willa Mae Bryant, Haysville, two grandchildren, Jacob and Jackie Smith both of Valley Center; and three great grandchildren.
Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore. There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be given to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in care of the Beckwith Funeral Home, P.O. Box 663, Jetmore, KS 67854. Personal condolences may be left at www.beckwithfuneralhome.com.
