Obituary

Great Bend – Fannie Mae Watkins, 97, died June 5, 2008 at her home in Great Bend.

She was born November 10, 1910 in Stafford Co., the daughter of Fritz and Emma Feaster Clark. A former Larned resident, she was a teacher and a homemaker.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Larned. She graduated from Larned High School in 1930 and Attended Hays Teachers College, Hays, Kansas.

On August 12, 1934 she married Harry Martin Watkins at Bison. He died October 21, 1986.

Survivors include; two sons; Larry E., Dumas, Lynn E. and wife Nancy, Wichita, a daughter; Joyce E. Heaton and husband Richard, Great Bend, nine grandchildren, Renee Heaton, Great Bend, Rick Heaton, Great Bend, Gregory Watkins, Jason Watkins, Adam Watkins, Aaron Watkins, Bryan Watkins all of Wichita, Laura Rahija, Dumas, Texas, Michael Watikins, Prairie Village, Kansas and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers; Eldon, Lawrence, Shirley, Graydon, Gene, and one grandchild, Kevin Clark Heaton.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Fritz Clark presiding. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Beckwith Mortuary. Burial will be in the Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend.
