Obituary

Jetmore – Fern L. Gibbs, 95, passed away October 24, 2014 at the Hodgeman County Long Term Care Center, Jetmore.

She was born December 19, 1918, in Hodgeman County, the daughter of Andrew L. and Sarah M. Ely Goller. She was a retired Elementary school teacher having taught for 38 years. She began her teaching career at the Kidderville School in rural Hodgeman County and retired in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Jetmore.
On May 10, 1941 she married Dayton Rogers and he passed away in 1959. On February 15, 1960, she married Cecil Preston Gibbs in Jetmore. He passed away March 17, 1984.

Survivors: include two sisters, Ada Hendrickson, Garden City; Mary King, California; one brother, Dale Goller, California, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four, sisters, Ruth Hoagland, Eva Williams, Ella Strawn, Faye Powell and three brothers, Andrew Goller, Alva Goller, and George Goller.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Jetmore, with Pastor Dennis Fulton presiding. Friends may call from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday and from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Hanston Cemetery, Hanston.
