Fern D. Nelson's Obituary
Fern D. Nelson, age 86, died September 30, 2011, in Lemoore, CA.
She was born September 18, 1925, in Stafford County, KS, to Arthur and Eva Burns Buhrer.
She was married to Harold McWithey and, later, to Charles Nelson. Both are deceased.
She is survived by three sons—Gary McWithey, Ronnie McWithey, and Michael Nelson, all of California—and by 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, and by three sisters, Vivian Davidson, Bonnie Davis, and Loretta Rose, as well as nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands and a brother, Claud Edward Buhrer, and two sisters, Erma Buhrer O'Conner and Grace Buhrer Davis.
Fern was a godly woman who will be cherished and missed. She loved being with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A service was held in Lemoore, CA, October 8, 2011. A graveside service has been scheduled for Friday, November 18, 2011, at Larned Cemetery, Larned, KS.
