Pawnee Rock - Florence Evelyn Johnson, 91, passed away January 10, 2017 at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned.

She was born March 2, 1925 in Fowler, the daughter of Robert Lee and Evelyn Rose Chipman Stillwell. Moving from Cunningham in 1957 she was a lifetime area resident of Pawnee Rock, she was a GBM Welder.

She was a member of the Pawnee Rock Christian Church; loved baking, reading, doing crossword puzzles, sewing, plants, gardening, loved her dogs, and most of all loved her children, grandkids and great grandkids.

On August 17, 1942 she married Carl August Johnson in Kingman.

Survivors include; three sons, Frank (Lorna) Johnson, Wichita, John (Diane Morse) Johnson, Great Bend, Howard (Carmen) Johnson, Claflin; five daughters, Carla (Michael) Nutting, Crosby, TX, Darla S. Belt, Pawnee Rock, Sharla (William) Woods, Larned, Marla C. (Twink) Johnson, Pawnee Rock, Monica Brackbill, Pawnee Rock; two sisters, Bonnie Luther, Pratt, Sally (Adelphus) Grieving, Ingalls; sister-in-law, Joan Stillwell, Penalosa; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by; her husband, Carl August Johnson; a son, Marvin Dean Johnson; two brothers, Robert Stillwell and Jimmy Stillwell, a sister, Florine Kampling and two grandsons, Jason Johnson and Jeremy Johnson.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Pawnee Rock Christian Church, with Pastor John Thomas presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in the Garfield Cemetery, Garfield, Kansas.
