Frank Junior Salmans' Obituary
Hanston – Frank Junior Salmans, 85, passed away April 10, 2015 at the Hodgeman County Long Term Care Center, Jetmore.
He was born August 5, 1929, in Jetmore, the son of Frank and Elizabeth Sebes Salmans. A longtime area resident, he was a Farmer/Stockman. He also was a carpenter and a custom harvester.
He attended the Hanston First Baptist Church, and enjoyed the CO-OP Coffee Club and traveling.
On September 11, 1945, he married Maxine McKibbin in Dodge City. She survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, Jay (Jeanne) Salmans, Montezuma, Terry (Danetta) Salmans, Hanston, Lane (Lisa) Salmans, Gruver, TX; Son-in-law, Jim Byrum, Dodge City; Daughter-in-law, Cetra Salmans, Hays; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren and ten great- great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Marc Salmans; a daughter, Janet Byrum and two great grandsons, Gunner and Jens Stedje.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday at the First Baptist Church, Hanston with Rev. Carl Vincent presiding. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
