Fred Burleigh Chapman's Obituary
Pawnee Rock - Fred Burleigh Chapman, 66, died July 22, 2007 at CKMC St. Rose Campus, Great Bend.
He was born October 22, 1940 in Sacramento, California, the son of Rollin Merle and Louise Maretta Pratt Chapman. A resident of Pawnee Rock, he was a carpenter.
On January 31, 1964 he married Sandra Mullins at Winter Haven, California. She survives.
Other survivors include; five sons, Roland, Great Bend, Fred Chapman II, Daniel, Raymond and Jeffery, all of Pawnee Rock, three daughters, Loretta Elsen, Ellinwood, Deborah Torres and Sarah Wagner, both of Great Bend, a brother, William Chapman, Great Bend, many other brothers and sisters living in California and Nevada, and thirteen grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and many brothers and sisters.
Graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Pawnee Rock Cemetery, with the Reverend John Grummon presiding. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to noon Friday all at the Beckwith Mortuary, Larned.
Burial will be in the Pawnee Rock Cemetery, Pawnee Rock.
Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society in care of the Beckwith Mortuary, P.O. Box 477, Larned, KS 67550.
