Frederick John Fry, J., age 78 of Kingsland, Texas, passed away November 22, 2008 at his residence.
He was born September 29, 1930 in Winfield, Kansas to Frederick John Fry, IV, and Mabel (Brown) Fry. He had served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, had worked as Manager for Home Oil Company from 1970 to 1997, and had owned the Liberal Ice Company in Liberal, Kansas.
Frederick married Freda Simmons on August 9, 1952 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He had been a resident of Kingsland, Texas since 2001, having moved here from Liberal, Kansas. He was of the Methodist Faith, very active in the Boy Scouts of America and Explorer Scouts from 1939 to 1970, and had received the prestigious Eagle Scout Award as well as many other Merit Badges.
He is survived by his Wife, Freda Fry of Kingsland, two Daughters, Pamela Wagner and her husband Duane of Choctaw, OK, and Dana Clevenger and her husband Emmett of Ozark, Missouri, one Sister Jacqueline Trindle of Dodge City, Kansas,6 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Frederick, IV and Mabel Fry.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, 11/26/2008 at 2:00 PM at the Beckwith Mortuary in Larned, Kansas. Burial will follow at the Larned Cemetery.
