Larned - Fredrick F. (Buck) Owens, 86, passed away July 24, 2016 at his home surrounded by family.

He was born January 4, 1930 in Woodward Co., Oklahoma; the son of Franklin Oliver and Velda Hawkins Owens. A longtime area resident; he was a custodian at Larned High School.

He was of the Baptist faith, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Larned and loved to fish.

On December 12, 1961 he married Annabelle McKennan in Woodward, Oklahoma. She passed away December 23, 2010.

Survivors include a son; Terry Kraft, Larned; four daughters, Sherlin Moore, Larned, Mary Ann Hammans (Joy A.), Woodward, Oklahoma, Karen Bronson (Tony), Great Bend, Anna Binns (Daniel), Larned; a brother, Frank Owens (Treva), Woodward, Oklahoma; a son-in-law, Rick Evans; one sister, Daisy High, Wichita; twelve grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by; a daughter, Wilma Pearl Evans and four brothers, Wilbert, Jack, Bill and Marland and two sisters, Lottie and Glynna.

Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Michael Pfortmiller presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned, Kansas with military graveside rites.
