Pawnee Rock – Gary D. Jost, 81, passed away March 15, 2018 at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned, KS.

He was born April 25, 1936 in Langley, KS, the son of William and Gladys Gomer Jost.  A longtime area resident, he was a farmer and a veteran of the United States Navy.

He was of the Lutheran faith. He was the former president of the American Legion and was a member of the Optimist Club, both of Larned.

Survivors include: wife, Ann Wilcox, Pawnee Rock; son, Lance (Julie) Jost, Olathe, KS; daughter, Carrie (Darrell) Markham, Lewisville, TX; three grandchildren, Lindsey Jost, Will Jost and Jaxon Markham.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Dale, Warren, Jim and Roy Jost and a sister, Boots Headberg.

Cremation has taken place a no service is planned at this time.
