Geneva Mae Mcgee's Obituary
Larned – Geneva Mae McGee, 87, died May 29, 2008 at CKMC, Great Bend.
She was born August 14, 1920 at Turon, the daughter of Leonard and Ora Cox Schmidt. A resident of Great Bend since 1999 moving from Chase, she was a homemaker.
She was a former member of the United Methodist Church of Belpre, moving her membership to Macksville, VFW Auxiliary and American Legion of Larned.
On Aug 28, 1942 she married Joseph P. McGee at Wichita, Kansas. He died September 18, 2001.
Survivors include: a daughter Karen S. Gilkey, Belpre; two grandsons, Dan Gilkey, Great Bend, Randy Gilkey, Belpre; and two great-grandchildren, Austin Gilkey and Bridget Gilkey both of Belpre.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Basil Schmidt, and Robert J. Schmidt.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2008 at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Rev. Elaine Lord presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Neola Cemetery, Neola, Kansas.
