George L. Wiedemann's Obituary
Burdett - George L. Wiedemann, 73 , died June 21, 2013 at the Harry Hynes Hospice, Wichita.
He was born November 7, 1939 at Larned, the son of Fred G. and Laura Lillian Spreier Wiedemann. A lifetime area resident, he was a farmer/rancher.
He was of the Christian Faith. He served in the United States Army. He was a member of the National Antique tractor and truck chapter, the National Wildlife Federation, served on the Pawnee Heights school board for fourteen years and was a former Golden Valley COOP board member.
On June 4, 1965 he married Dolores Y. Holt at Woodbury, TN. She passed away July 23, 2010.
Survivors include: a son, Todd Wiedemann and wife Gina, Maize; and two grandchildren, Jordan Wiedemann and Bryce Wiedemann both of Maize.
Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned with the pastor Chuck Marshall presiding. Visitation will be from 1p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Mortuary. Burial will be in the Brown's Grove Cemetery, Burdett with military graveside rites.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Burdett EMS, both in care of the Beckwith Mortuary, P.O. Box 477, Larned, KS 67550.
