Jetmore – Gerald R. Wilson, 85, died September 26, at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City, Ks.
He was born January 4, 1922, on a farm west of Jetmore, the son of Forest and Flossie Smith Wilson. He was a Farmer and Contractor. He was a lifetime area resident.
He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, He served on the Board Of Trustee for the Church, Jetmore.
On May 31, 1942 he married Mary J. Smalley at Dodge City. She died September 11, 2004.
Survivors include: a son, Roger Wilson and wife Carla, Dodge City; one daughter, Beki Jo. Vieux and husband Eugene, Dodge City; two brothers, Ray Wilson, Jetmore, Charles Wilson, The Villages, Florida; 4 grandchildren, and 9 Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in Death by two sisters, Elsie Hoagland, and Vera Wilson; three brothers, Harvey Wilson, Glen Wilson, Ira Lee Wilson.
Funeral will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the United Presbyterian Church, Jetmore, with the Revs. Gail Fisher and Dick Robbins presiding. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday and Friday at the Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
