Burdett – Gilbert A. Bazzoon, 79, died June 28, 2006 at the Pratt Regional Medical Center, Pratt.
He was born December 23, 1926 at Electra, Texas the son of Gilbert A. Sr. and Marry Frances Bazzoon. A long time resident of Burdett he was a retired Railroad Agent.
He attended grade school in Vernon, Texas and high school in Denton, Texas. He enlisted in the Army in 1945 and was a veteran of WW II serving in Udine, Italy as a Medic T-4. After being discharged he attended Santa Fe Railroad Training Center and after completions was sent to St. John, Kansas for agent training and then on to Burdett, Kansas as an Agent. He retired in 1983. He was an avid Kansas University basketball fan.
He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
He is survived by two sisters, Frances Anderson, Odessa, Texas, Geraldine Alvey, Granbury, Texas and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday at the Browns Grove Cemetery, Burdett, with Rev. Roger Alford presiding.
