Larned – Gladys Marie Pivonka, 79, died September 25, 2010 at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.
She was born August 2, 1931 in Edwards County, the daughter of Karl and Zola Donovan Sherman.
She was a member of United Methodist Church, Christian Church Prayer Group, both of Larned.
On December 31, 1954 she married John William (Bill) Pivonka at Larned. He died December 10, 1988.
Survivors include: two sons Michael, Wichita, Brian, Larned; two daughters, Karla Ruehlen, Larned, Teri Rose, Atlanta, Georgia; a step-daughter Sherry Dibble, Hays; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday September 30, 2010 at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned with Rev. Bill Fitzgerrel presiding. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and Wednesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
