Larned – Glenn E. Bryant, 71, died December 23, 2009 at St. Francis Via Christi, Wichita, Kansas.
He was born August 21, 1938 at Great Bend, the son of Ralph Lester and Ida Panning Bryant. A resident of Larned since 1962 moving from Rozel, he was raised in the Ellinwood area.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chairman of the ADA Board, American Legion, and Boy Scouts of America Leader of Pack #123, all of Larned.
On December 8, 1977 he married Jolene Marie Hall Carlson at Larned. She survives.
Other survivors include: six sons, Brett Carlson, Bison, Darin Bryant, Great Bend, Lyle Bryant, Larned, Dustin Carlson, Dodge City, Austin Bryant, Irving, Texas, Duane Bryant, Larned; a daughter, Gina Hickman, Garfield; a sister Evelyn Miller, Ellinwood; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Pastor Bill Fitzgerrel presiding. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
