Larned – Glenn E. Miller, 92, died April 18, 2011 at the Country Place Senior Living, Larned, Kansas.
He was born October 17, 1918 in Pawnee County Kansas, the son of Charles Albert and Estella Lorraine Metz Miller. A former resident of Iowa and Billings Montana moving back to his home area of Larned in later years, he worked for Montgomery Ward & Company for 20 years and farmed. He was a Navy Veteran serving in WW II in Saipan.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, VFW and American Legion all of Larned, former member of the Masonic Lodge and ISIS Temple.
Survivors include; three Nephews, Dean Miller, Denver, Colorado, Larry Miller, Larned, Brian Miller, Topeka; two nieces, Phyllis Basom, Salina and Kay Glisan, St. Charles, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Cleadus, Warren, Arlis and a sister, Eula Viola Evans.
Funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Pastor Bill Fitzgerrel presiding. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned City Cemetery, Larned.
