She was born November 11, 1930 in Edwards, County; the daughter of Jesse William and Faye Lillian Kerns Deckert. A Larned resident since 1949, moving from Edwards County; she was a Homemaker.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, both of Larned.

On May 21, 1950 she married Elton L. Johnson in Larned. He survives.

Other survivors include; three sons; Keith and wife Kathy, Topeka, Mark and wife Joni, and Neil, both of Larned, two sisters, Lois Kennedy, Pratt and Shirley Brollier, Kinsley, four grandchildren, Amy Moberg M.D., Megan Johnson, Abby Johnson, Lindy Johnson and two great grandchildren, Nathaniel and Joshua Moberg.

She was preceded in death by a brother; Leon Deckert.

Funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Bill Fitzgerrel presiding. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday all at the Mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
