Jetmore – Gregory H. Schlereth, 68, passed away February 27, 2023 at Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.

He was born January 29, 1955 in Dodge City, the son of Howard and Maudene Corey Schlereth.

A lifetime area resident, he was a retired heavy equipment operator for Kansas Department of Transportation.

Greg was baptized into the Catholic Church and enjoyed farming and working in his shop.  He loved playing with his grandson, Colton.

Survivors include: mother, Maudene Fakes, Jetmore; son, Ryan Schlereth, Garden City; step-daughter, Mindy Burns, Kinsley; three sisters, Sharon Guthrie, Sandy Hendrickson and Deanna Unruh, all of Jetmore and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Schlereth.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2023 at Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore, with Rev. Mark Durham presiding.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore.
