Larned – Harold Lloyd Bauer, 81, died April 10, 2008 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, Larned.
He was born October 25, 1926 at Hanston, Kansas, the son of George Fredrick and Orah Maude Beebe Bauer. A park superintendent for 35 years for the City of Larned, and a grounds keeper for Camp Pawnee, he was a lifetime Larned resident.
He was a member of the American Legion, Larned and Garfield, and the VFW, Larned.
On January 17, 1953 he married Alma "Amy" Ringeisen at Larned. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, James, Larned; three daughters, Susan Ward and husband Allen, Norton, Lynda Murphy and husband Steven, Larned, Julee Engle, Larned, thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin, and a sister, Evelyn Morton.
A Memorial of remembrance conducted by the family will be held on Sunday at the Jordaan room in Larned from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
