Larned - Harold E. Erway, 79, died May 11, 2006 at Hutchinson Hospital, Hutchinson, Kansas
He was born September 29, 1926 in Pawnee County, the son of Edgar Earl and Hermenia Bruntzel Erway. A lifetime Pawnee County resident, he was an Insurance Agent for State Farm Insurance for 35 years, Stockman, and a Real Estate Developer.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Larned Fire Department and Chamber of Commerce and Various United Methodist Committees, a former member of the USD #495 school board, and Kiwanis all of Larned
On October 2, 1948 he married Donna Joy Howell in Larned. She died October 23, 2003.
Survivors include; two sons, Lyle and Kale, both of Larned, a daughter, Beth Zook, Larned, a sister, Velda Updegrove, Lewis, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by; a brother, Marvin and two sisters, Verda, and Ersel Yost.
Funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church, Larned with Pastor Ryan Webster presiding. Visitation will be from Noon to 8:00 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday all at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
