Jetmore – Harold W. Johnson, 81, passed away May 13, 2022 at St. Catherine Hospital, Dodge City.

He was born December 9, 1940 in El Dorado, Ks, the son of Roy Harold and Viola Mae Jones Johnson.  A longtime area resident, he worked for Crop Production Services.

He attended the United Presbyterian Church in Jetmore.  Harold was a hard worker and at the age of eight he started working in the fields and never stopped. He loved the land and enjoyed hunting and woodworking.

On July 31, 1960, he married Bonita "Bonnie" M. Tong in Leon, KS.  She passed away May 6, 2013.

Survivors include: a son, Ronald (Vickie) Johnson, Caddo Mills, TX; two daughters, Marshiela (Rick) Van Vleet, Kennewick, WA, Kimberly (Mike) Salmans, Dodge City, KS; two brothers, Stephen (Pat) Johnson, Buhler, KS, Jerry (Sandra) Johnson, Elizabeth, CO; two sisters, Karen (Lynn) McBride, Andover, KS, Sharon Herndon, Wichita, KS; eight grandchildren,Tyler (Stephanie), Chelsea (Randy), Kyle (Lauren), Kevin (Kylie), Mallory (Tripp), Jarred (Sarah), Jayton (Danielle) and Jacelyn; eight great grandchildren, Lane, Charlie, Jessie, Boston, Landry, Caroline, Brooklynn, Riley and his beloved dog, Shelby.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2022 at the United Presbyterian Church, Jetmore, with Rev. Mark Durham presiding.  Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore.  Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
