Jetmore-Helen C. McWhirt, 72, died June 9, 2006 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City.
She was born October 12, 1933 at Dodge City, the daughter of Willis A. and Evalyn M. Mazey Curry. A lifetime area resident, she was a retired School Teacher.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Jetmore.
On August 14, 1955 she married Don McWhirt at Dodge City. He survives.
Other survivors include: a daughter, Melaney A. Vogel and her husband John, Dodge City; and a grandson, Matthew Vogel.
She was preceded in death by; a sister, Mazey C. Buckley, and a brother, Willis A. Curry Jr.; a grandson, Michael Vogel and a granddaughter Melynn Vogel
Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, at United Presbyterian Church, Jetmore, with the Rev. Dick Robbins presiding. Friends may call from 9a.m. to 8p.m. Sunday and Monday, at the Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. There will be a private family burial at a later date.
Memorials may be sent to the Hospice of the Prairie, Ronald McDonald House of Wichita or Donors Choice in care of Beckwith Funeral Home, Box 663 Jetmore, Ks 67854. Personal condolences may be left for the family at www.beckwithfuneralhome.com
