Larned – Herschel L. Hutcherson, 72, died April 5, 2007 at the HCR Manor Care, Wichita, Kansas.

He was born August 31, 1934 at Utica, Kansas, the son of Burrell P. and Margaret Young Hutcherson. A resident of Larned since 1947 moving from Utica he was an Alpha Mill Operator for Bert & Wetta Mill for over 30 years and he also worked at the Larned CO-OP Service Station for 13 years.

He was a member of the Escue Chapel C.M.E. Church, Larned.

In 1956 he married Delores Robinson, they later divorced.

Survivors include: his companion, Ms. Mary Patty, Larned; Ex-wife, Delores M. Davies, Great Bend, Kansas; a daughter, Debra Lynn Washington, Wichita, Kansas; four sisters, Lula Gill, Topeka, Kansas, Emma West, Gulfport, Mississippi, Beverly Flowers, Cleveland, Ohio, Esther Hutcherson, Orlando, Florida; a brother, Howard Hutcherson, corpus Christi, Texas; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned with Rev. Walter Walker presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the mortuary, with family receiving friends from 7p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Utica Cemetery, Utica, Kansas.
