Ida Mary Smrcka, 93, passed away August 24, 2024 at Diversicare of Larned.

She was born March 28, 1931 in La Crosse, the daughter of Clarence and Anna Irish Morrison.

A lifetime Rush County resident, she was a homemaker. She loved cooking, sewing, gardening, and working alongside her husband on the farm. Her greatest joy was to be a grandma to Katie Ann and a great grandma GG to Brielle.

On October 15, 1955 she married Willard Dean Smrcka at La Crosse; he preceded her in death.

Survivors include:  daughter, Vickie Sue (R.J.) Tammen, Timken; granddaughter, Katie Ann (Shawn) Doyle, Timken; great granddaughter, Brielle Maryn Doyle; brother, Victor Morrison, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Robert Allen Smrcka; and her brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2024 with family present from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in Bohemian National Cemetery, Timken. Private family service will be at a later date.
