Obituary

Larned – J. Clyde Bowman, 88, died September 22, 2007 at his daughters home in Hutchinson.

He was born October 21, 1918 in Pawnee County, the son of H. Benton and Ora L. Epperson Bowman. A lifetime Pawnee County resident, living the last five years in Hutchinson, he was a Farmer Stockman.

He was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church, Belpre.

On November 29, 1939 he married Pauline Rose Breitenbach at Belpre. She died March 9, 1966. On August 16, 1967 he married Bertha Ensz Martens. She died August 28, 2001.

Survivors include: a son, John C. Bowman, Hutchinson; three daughters, Martha L. Bowman, Hutchinson, Mary Ann and husband Melvin Schinstock, Kinsley, Judy K. Bowman, Meriam; two step-sons, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 26th at 11:00 a.m. at the Belpre Catholic Cemetery, Belpre with Fr. Pascal Klein celebrant. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned. Family requests casual dress at the Graveside.
