Jack L. Atteberry, 83, passed away September 27, 2024 at his home, Larned.

He was born July 11, 1941 in Larned; the son of Clifford C. and Wanda Artz Atteberry.  A lifetime area resident, he was the retired Undersheriff in Pawnee County.

He was of the Protestant faith, loved shooting, drinking coffee and going to the Welcome Inn Senior Center.

Survivors include; two sons, Kyle Atteberry, Lincoln and Larry (Dana) Atteberry, Larned; a daughter Pam (Scott) Stearns, Seattle, WA; a sister, Karen Karvelis, Richmond, VA; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by; his parents and a brother, Phillip Atteberry.

Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday October 10, 2024 at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Ryan Webster presiding.  Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 9th at Beckwith Mortuary.  Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be at a later date.
