Obituary

Larned - Jack R. Dipman, 76, passed away March 20, 2017 at Kansas Soldiers Home, Fort Dodge, Kansas.

He was born February 20, 1941 in Larned; son of James Russell and Charlotte Elva Cooper Dipman. A lifetime area resident; he was a retired Prison Guard for the Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility.

Jack was a past commander of the Burdett American Legion, a past board member of Golden Belt Telephone, and Central States Scout Museum; he was an Eagle Scout, part owner of the Butcher Block and a graduate of Larned High School class of 1959.

On April 21, 1982 he married Margaret Murphy in Great Bend, Kansas. She survives.

Other survivors include; three sons, Patrick (Molly) Dipman, Lawrence, Matthew (Kelsey) Dipman, Great Bend, Gabriel Dipman, Larned; a daughter, Robyn Dipman, Chicago, IL; and three grandchildren, Chandler, Audrey and Lincoln.

He was preceded in death by; his parents; and a brother, George (Sonny) Dipman.

Cremation has taken place. Please join the family for a celebration of life luncheon to be held at the VFW, Larned on Friday March 24, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. Private Inurnment will be in the Fort Dodge Veterans Cemetery, Fort Dodge, Kansas at a later date.
