Rozel - Jack Eldon Elmore, 96, passed away April 8, 2018 at his home in Rozel.

He was born July 26, 1921in Rozel, the son of Frank and Viola Ethel Smith Elmore.  A lifetime area resident, he was a farmer. He was an avid model Lionel train railroader.  He loved his family and was a hard working farmer.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, The Gideon International, both of Rozel. He served in the United States Navy during WWII.

On June 4, 1946, he married Amy Louise Lewis in Rozel.  She died October 29, 2017.

Survivors include: two sons, George (Kay) Elmore, Larned and Karl Elmore, Rozel; three grandchildren, Scott Elmore, Wichita, Christina (Mike) Arnone, Kearney, MO, Amy Elmore, Rozel and six great grandchildren, Kourinza Elmore, Lawrence, Jaydin Elmore, Wichita, Dominic Arnone, Marcus Arnone, Vincent Arnone, all of Kearney, MO and Abigail Wanker, Larned.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Rev. Eldon L. Elmore; daughter-in-law, Susan Elmore; granddaughter, Stacy Elmore Berends and two brothers, Mervin and Elvin Elmore.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with Pastor Stan Bryant presiding. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Beckwith Mortuary.  Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned with military graveside rites.
