Rockport, Texas - Jackie Kaylene Walker, 74, died June 13, 2011 in Rockport, Texas.
She was born June 17, 1936 in Sun City, Kansas the daughter of Byron W. and Ruby N. (Olmsted) Quinby.
She married the love of her life, Robert H. Walker, Jr., on September 14, 1957 and lived most of her life in Larned. Jackie was a Registered Nurse, graduating from Grace School of Nursing in Hutchinson, Kansas. She worked as an OB Nurse at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Larned; for Dr. O.R. Cram, M.D., Larned; and was School Nurse for the Larned School District until her retirement in 1996. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Larned.
She is survived by her husband, Robert H. Walker Jr., of Rockport, Texas; one daughter Jennifer (Charles) Wiese of Rockwall, Texas; one son, Brett Walker of Larned, Kansas; five grandchildren, Chelsy Skelton of Rockwall, Texas; Kaitlin Walker of Larned, Kansas; Amanda Walker of Larned, Kansas; Michael Wiese of Seattle, Washington; Michelle Wiese of Tyler, Texas. One great grandson, Payson Skelton of Rockwall, Texas; two sisters, Janet (David Knapp) Mahn of Jacksonville, Florida; Judy (George) Esser of Deerfield, Kansas, four nieces and one nephew.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 25th at 2 p.m. at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with the Rev Bill Fitzgerrel presiding. Friends may sign the register Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Mortuary. Cremation has taken place.
