Jetmore – James Edward Frauen , 89, passed away April 1, 2014, at Hays Medical Center after a long illness.
He was born August 10, 1924 at Ainsworth, Nebraska in his beloved Sand Hills, the son of Clause and Luella Lambert Frauen. A Jetmore resident for the past 5 years, moving from Long Pine, Nebraska, he was a salesman for investments.
He was a member of the Shriners, Lions Club, a Mason, and the American Legion. He served in the United States Marines in WWII and Korea and was an avid Cornhuskers fan.
On June 4, 1950, he married Earleen Mackey in Fairbury, Nebraska. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, John Frauen and wife Donna, Phoenix, Arizona; two daughters, Jan Bradfield and Ed Brancart, Kansas City, Kansas, Joy Fuqua and husband Brad, Jetmore; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Don Frauen and a sister, Mary Margaret Lochmiller.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
