James Ward Law Jr., 67, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008 while working at the Hodgeman County Health Center in Jetmore, Ks.
He was born March 22, 1941, in Jetmore, the son of James Ward Law Sr. and Laura Elizabeth Corey Law.
As a young child, Jim lived in Jetmore then moved to Fort Dodge until he was married.
On May 27, 1959, he married Mary Jane Alexander at her family home in Fort Dodge, Kansas. She survives.
Other survivors include: A son, James Ward Law III of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two daughters, Patty Jo Fetters and Fiance Lance Carr, and Amanda Jane Law and Fiance Chris Mefford, all of Jetmore; two sisters, Barbara Son of Dodge City, and Nancy Staats and husband Kenny of Spearville; one brother, Melvin Law and wife Cecila of Dodge City; Nine Grandchildren and three Great Grandchildren.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, one brother-in-law and one nephew.
Funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church, Jetmore, with Pastor Marvin Ewertt presiding. Friends may call from 9a.m. to 8p.m. Friday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
Memorials may be sent the Hodgeman County Health Center Maintenance Department in care of the funeral home.
