Larned - Jane Garcia 87, died September 18, 2009 at Hays Medical Center.

She was born October 29, 1922 in Dodge City, the daughter of Ponciano E. and Carmen S. Serbantez Garcia. A lifetime Larned resident, she was a Beautician at the Larned State Hospital.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Alter Society, she also worked at Ideal Laundry and the St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, all of Larned.
Survivors include: three brothers, Tony, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Joe R. and Phillip J., both of Larned, and two sisters; Linda Casper, Springfield, Colorado and Triny Hector, Kansas City, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by; two brothers; Andrew Garcia and an infant brother, and two sisters; Amelia Medina and an infant sister.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M. Monday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned with Father Bernard Felix presiding. Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
