Janet L.  Dixon, 74, passed away June 27, 2023, at Diversicare of Larned, Larned, Kansas.

She was born August 2, 1948, at Great Bend, Kansas, the daughter of Hugh and Marie Martin Adams.

A lifetime area resident, she was a Registered Nurse at Larned State Hospital. She was of the Christian faith, a member of the Larned Country Club, Bridge Club, enjoyed golfing, scrapbooking, crocheting, traveling, gambling, and taking trips to Las Vegas.

On March 2, 1968 she married Owen Harold Dixon in Lewis, Kansas; he passed away on December 13, 2020.

Survivors include: son, Michael Dixon, Dallas, Texas; daughter, Stacee Odom, St. Clair, Missouri; and brother, Kent Adams, Lexington, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sisters, Ella Marie Halloway and Mary Lee Ableson; and brother Cecil Adams.

Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday July 22. 2023 at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Bob Sallee presiding. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday July 21, 2023 at Beckwith Mortuary with family present from 6-7 p.m. Inurnment will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
