Jeffrey Warren Sickles

Larned – Jeffrey Warren Sickles, 69, passed away September 19, 2026 at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born November 8, 1956 in Winfield, Kansas, the son of Warren and Gloria (Dunnell) Sickles.

Jeffrey was a longtime area resident and of Christian Faith. He loved Harley Davidson, Silver Smithing, and annual Father’s Day motorcycle rides.

On May 22, 1985 he married Lucille Ann Ruiz in Great Bend, Kansas; she preceded him in death on September 6, 2017.

Survivors include: two daughters, Ashley (Joe) Garcia, Larned, and Hailey (Derrick) Buess, Great Bend; three sisters, Janet (Norman) Butler, Winfield, Jill DeRose, Colorado, Jane (Chris) Smith, Winfield; two sisters-in-law, Theresa Wright, Larned, Rosey Weisensee, Wichita; three brothers-in-law, Robert (Janine) Ruiz, Wichita, John (Valerie) Ruiz, Great Bend, and Richard Ruiz, Wichita; four grandchildren, Isabella Garcia, Alexandra Garcia, Leilani Garcia, and Dallas Buess.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Warren and Gloria Sickles; mother and father in-law, Augustine and Trinidad Ruiz; wife, Lucille; brothers, James Sickles, and John Sickles; nephews, Robert Ruiz Jr., Grant Schoger, and Scott Stein.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Reverend Jack Singer presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2026 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Private inurnment will be at a later date.
