He was born February 7, 1935 in Big Bow, Kansas; the son of Charles Lewis and Delores Pudge Jinks. An area resident for the past 63 years; he was a Heating and Air Conditioning Specialist.

He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Larned, and a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

On June 7, 1958 he married Elnora L. Schultz in Raton, New Mexico. She survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Benny E. Chesebro, Waxahachie, Texas, Barry A. Chesebro, Topeka; a brother, Eldon Jinks, Wichita; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: a brother, Kenneth Jinks and a sister Lois Zabaldo.

Funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the First Souther Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Slattery presiding. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
