Jerry Wayne Slaton's Obituary
Jerry W. Slaton, 62, died April 24, 2008 at the Shepherds Center, Cimarron.
He was born September, 21 1945 at Perryton, Texas, the son of Emery and Nadine Keller Slaton. A longtime area resident, he was a retired teacher and coach.
He was a member of the Baptist Church, and V.F.W., both of Hanston, NRA, K-State Athletic Association, Board Member of Eight Man All Star Football Association and also in Sports Illustrated.
Survivors include: his parents; three sons, Jarrett W. Slaton, Kaleb W. Slaton, both of Dodge City, Tyson McVey, St. John, two daughters, Shannon Kayle Slaton-Boles, Aurora, Colorado Kameron Kayle Slaton, Dodge City, ten grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Hanston School Gymnasium with the Rev. Carl Vincent and Ron Ruff presiding. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Beckwith Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be 10:00 A.M.Tuesday in the Pioneer Cemetery in Beaver Oklahoma.
