Obituary

Joan (Paul) Deyoe, 92, of Lincoln, NE, passed away November 12, 2021 at the Southlake Village

Rehabilitation and Care Center, Lincoln. She was born in Dodge City, KS, September 16, 1929, to

parents Grover and Katherine (Fuller) Paul.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Ezra J. Deyoe (2002) and four siblings (Bruce, Jackie, Dwayne and Jeredith). Surviving family members include a daughter Sheri (Ted) Boro of Omaha, and two sons, Jack (Tari) Deyoe of Lincoln, and Ted (Barbara) Deyoe of Chetopa, KS as well as 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews.

Joan was a graduate of Dodge City High School (1947) and attended Dodge City Junior College. She was a longtime member of the Jetmore Presbyterian Church serving as youth Sunday school teacher and superintendent. She was a loving wife, mother and devoted caregiver to her husband who suffered with MS for over 30 years. Faced with caring for the health of her husband, mother and mother-in-law while in her 60's, Joan became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She also had worked as a librarian's assistant and Deputy Clerk of the District Court in Jetmore.

Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore with Carolyn Tarman presiding. Memorials can be made in her name to the Hodgeman County Longterm Care Center in care of Beckwith Funeral Home, Box 663 Jetmore, KS 67854.
