Hanston – JoAnn M. Halling, 86, died January 8, 2012, at the Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.
She was born July 14, 1925, at Rozel, the daughter of Harvey and Maggie Milton Unruh. A lifetime area resident, she was a homemaker and was a retired bookkeeper for the Coop in Hanston.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and was the church treasurer, Hanston.
On August 16, 1946, she married Lawrence L. Halling at Rozel. He died July 30, 2008.
Survivors include: a son, Dale Halling, Wichita; a daughter, Wanda Wagnon, Great Bend; a brother, Gorden Rodrock, Mt. Vernon, MO.; a sister, Marjorie Zumalt, Joplin Missouri; nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Unruh and a great grandson, Judson Beck Hart.
Funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, at the United Methodist Church, Hanston, with Pastor Dennis Fulton presiding. Visitation will be from 9a.m. to 8p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Mennonite Cemetery, Hanston.
