Joe Sauer's Obituary
Rozel – Jerome (Joe) A. Sauer, 85, died March 10, 2014 at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned.
He was born September 8, 1928, in Antonino, the son of Anton and Pauline Rupp Sauer. A resident of Rozel, he was a retired farmer and an avid hunter and fishman.
He was a member of the Rozel United Methodist Church, Kinsley Gun Club, La Crosse Gun Club and the Larned Gun Club.
On November 24, 1949 he married Martha L. Arnold at Rozel. She passed away September 10, 2012.
Survivors include: a son, Dennis Sauer, Rozel; two daughters, Joleen Tomlinson, Austell, Georgia and Karin Rexroad, Salina; a brother, Fritz Sauer, Garden City; Five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, I.A. Sauer and three sisters, Irene Leiker, Katie Dodson and Albertine Stewart.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Rozel Cemetery, with Pastor Brad McCoy presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned.
Memorials may be sent to the Rozel United Methodist Church or the Rozel Fire Department in care of Beckwith Mortuary, Box 477 Larned, KS 67550.
