Larned – John Dwight Moore, 68, of Larned, passed away on May 3, 2024 in Larned.

He was born July 29, 1955 in Larned, the son of Alfred Raymond and Laura Belle Ullom Moore.

A lifetime area resident, he was a Power Plant Operator for Sunflower Electric Power Corporation. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, NRA, SRCA Dragstrip and lifetime member of Ft. Larned Arms Association. For 30 plus years did ET Bracket Drag Racing. John also enjoyed bowling.

On May 30, 1980 he married Brenda Sharp, in Larned; she preceded him in death.

Survivors include: one son, Chris Moore, Larned; and cousin, Norma Jean O'Neal, Kansas City, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
