Larned – John Mariche Perez, 67, died March 31, 2011 at his home in Larned.

He was born March 2, 1944 at Dodge City, Kansas, the son of Clemente Rincon and Lucille Mariche Perez. A lifetime resident of Edwards and Pawnee County area. He was a License Mental Health Technician at the Larned State Hospital.

He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and coached softball for adults and kids, both of Larned.

On August 6, 1969 he married Mary Lynn Stejskal at Miami, Oklahoma. She survives.

Other Survivors include: four daughters, Angela Sculley, Leavenworth; Rebecca Perez, Denver, Colorado; Misty Perez, Kristy Perez, both of Larned; one son Shawn Perez, Great Bend; two sisters, Nora Sanders, Linda Garcia, both of Larned; six brothers, Lupe Perez, Tony Perez, Raymond Perez, Terry Perez, all of Larned; Manuel Perez, Salina, Felix Perez, Pawnee Rock; twelve grandchildren; and one great – grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Trina Ruiz, Jane Bronson; two brothers, Peter Perez, and Frank Perez.

Vigil will be held at 7:00 P.M. Monday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned. Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned, with Father Bernard Felix presiding. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday at the Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in the Larned City Cemetery.
