Rozel – Johnny G. "John" Price Jr. 81, passed away May 27, 2022 at Hays Medical Center, Hays, KS.

He was born August 10, 1940 in Pawnee County, the son of John G. and Amanda I. (Schenk) Price Sr. A lifetime area resident, he was a Farmer/Rancher.

He was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church, Rush Center, KS. He enjoyed woodworking and loved watching his great grandkids play ball.

On June 3, 1959, he married Shirley J. Wagner in Rush Center. She survives

Other survivors include: two daughters, Janet (Cliff) Downing, Salina, Amy (Troy) Welsch, Larned; sister, Donna Steiner, Newton; eight grandchildren, Ashley (Don) Larisey, Christina (William) Badnaruk, Tanner Welsch, Ally (Dustin) Turner, Jenni (Andrew) Davis, Trenton Welsch, Jacob Downing, Rebecca Downing; ten great grandchildren, Leah, Colton, Gracelyn, Ava, Braxten, Adaline, Don (Paddy), Mira, Arianna and Lylah.

He was preceded in death by his son, Chris A. Price and a brother, Larry E. Price.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with Pastor Gene Price presiding.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Beckwith Mortuary with family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
