Jon B. Smith, 44, passed away January 8, 2022.

He was born August 7, 1977 in Great Bend, the son of David Smith and Becky Meyer Sack.

A lifetime area resident he was of the Christian faith. He was an insurance salesman and cell phone tower technician. He enjoyed attending Pheasants Forever, loved the outdoors, and spending time with his dad deer hunting.

He married Shala Mariche at Larned. She passed away January 8, 2022

Survivors include: his mother, Becky (Paul) Sack, Rye, Colorado, father, David (JoAnn) Smith, Great Bend; four step children, Kelciey Bright, Aarika (Logan) Hamm, Wichita, Dalton (Shelby) Bright, Manhattan, Andrew Bright, Wichita; two brothers, Mickey (Gina) Smith, Charlotte, North Carolina, Kevin (April) Smith, Columbia, South Carolina; two step sisters, Kelly Jones, Great Bend, Kristy (Tommy) Drewel, Great Bend; three grandchildren, Kyler Adams, Kali Adams, and Blakely Hamm; two nephews, Colby and Ethan Smith, and niece, Gypsy Smith.

He was preceded in death by his son, Carver Smith.

Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2022 at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Ryan Webster and Pastor David Spare presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022. Inurnment will be in Pawnee Rock Cemetery.
