Jetmore – Joyce H. Shriwise, 88, died September 5, 2012, at the Hodgeman County Long Term Care Center, Jetmore.
She was born March 27, 1924, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, the daughter of James and Odessa Webb Barlotti. She was a retired Registered Nurse at Humana/Western Plains Regional Hospital, Dodge City.
She belonged to the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Altar Society, taught CCD, was a Eucharist Minister, American Legion Auxiliary, Jetmore Senior Center, all of Jetmore, and the Kansas Registered Nurses Association.
Survivors include: two sons, Mark Shriwise, Dodge City, Brian Shriwise, San Marino, California; two daughters, Susan Bibbs, Kansas City, Missouri, Pat Mages, Thousand Oaks, California; two grandchildren, Stephanie Hardy, Phillip Mages; and four great grandchildren, Louis Patrick and Konrad Hardy, Annelise and Katherine Mages.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan E. Shriwise and a sister, Dolores Burke.
Vigil will be at 7p.m. Friday at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Jetmore. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30a.m. Saturday at the church, with Father Maurice Cummings Presiding. Visitation will be from 9a.m. to 8p.m. Thursday and 9a.m. to 5p.m. Friday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
